Lasting Comedy Review

Write for us

We welcome thoughtful pitches about comic works and traditions that invite close attention and can be explored clearly without specialist knowledge.

What we welcome

Pitches may examine a comic form, a performance choice, satire, an adaptation or the continuing life of a work. We value a defined question, a distinct angle and a reason readers might see the subject differently after reading. Practical pieces are welcome when their advice is safe, specific and does not depend on professional guidance or local rules.

A good pitch

Send a concise proposal through the Contact page. Include a working title, the central idea, the category it might fit and a few lines on the approach. Name the examples you would discuss and explain what makes the piece more than a general overview. Please do not send a complete article unless requested.

Originality and care

Contributions should be original, carefully sourced where factual claims require it and attentive to the difference between analysis and personal response. Tell us about relevant interests or connections to the subject; no particular credential is required.

Our point of view

A laugh can travel further than its moment.

Comedy changes as audiences change. We look closely at what a work asks us to notice, while leaving space for different readings.
